Handmade Ornaments

Today, we decided to make our own handmade Christmas ornaments for a bit of arts and crafts for Wednesday we-play. These tiny sculptures added character and charm to our Christmas this year, while developing the boys creative and fine motor skills.

All you need is:

- Small wooden sticks

- Glue

- Rope

- Sequins

- Cotton

How? Glue the small wooden sticks together to shape a triangle, add glue and sequin to decorate it, use the rope to create a loop at top to hang it on the tree. You can also create snowflakes using cotton or mini pompoms. We also wrapped the rope around the triangle to fill the inside then glued sequin on the rope. They looked so beautiful and sparkly and complemented our minimal Christmas tree.

This activity proved successful for ages 2 yrs +

(Adult supervision at all times)

And develops:

Sensory skills

Fine motor skills

Creative skills

Focus and concentration skills

Hand eye coordination

problem solving skills

Communication skills

😊 Try it and tag us, HAPPY WEDNESDAY everyone!
